Money in the Bank 2023 was a stacked show from the United Kingdom which had several surprising moments on the card. One of those moments featured John Cena returning to the WWE without any prior spoiler ahead of the show. The pleasant surprise also saw the franchise player of the WWE getting involved in a physical capacity.

No one really expected to witness John Cena at Money in the Bank 2023 but the former face of WWE came out in a thunderous reception from the O2 Arena in London, England. He took the microphone and admitted his surprise for not hearing the “Cena sucks” chants.

Then he added in the promo about how Money in the Bank 2023 is the first WWE pay-per-view in the city and the UK for a long time. Humorously, John Cena said that “decision makers” didn’t know how to feel about London, because it can be a “hostile environment.” He noted that UK fans don’t really “take over the show,” became they “are the show.”

Finally, John Cena addressed why he was at Money in the Bank 2023 and that was they care so much about the WWE. This was also the reason why he made comments about the elephant in the room with the following comments, “So, I’m here to try to bring WrestleMania to London.”

Smackdown Superstar Grayson Waller interrupted this session at Money in the Bank 2023 and claimed that Australia should get a WrestleMania, not England. Grayson also pledged Cena to appear on The Grayson Waller Effect talk show so that he can be relevant, once again. As Cena passed on the offer, Grayson attacked him from behind. Cena countered the attack by delivering the Attitude Adjustment on him.

There’s no actual update on whether John Cena’s appearance has a connection with WWE bringing Wrestlemania to the United Kingdom. Triple H was asked regarding the same during the Money in the Bank 2023 press conference and he mentioned that it’s tough bringing WrestleMania to London. But, WWE is a Global company and so never say never regarding an international WrestleMania.
