Extreme Rules PPV is the next stop in the WWE programming. We are going to get this show on the 15th of July. It will also be the final PPV event before Summerslam comes in August. And the specialty of this night is that each of the matches has some added stipulations to it. So, we can expect to see some gimmick matches on the upcoming much-awaited show.
WWE Raw has already announced the potential main event of Extreme Rules. We will see a multi-man matchup that will declare the new number one contender for the Universal Championship (UC).
However, we do not know the exact number of participants in this match until now. Kurt Angle has only informed us that Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley will be featuring in the contest.
Now, it looks like the GM will announce two more matches for the Extreme Rules PPV event.
Currently, the host venue is advertising a new match on the card according to the reports from the 434 Facebook page. Kevin Owens will face monster Braun Strowman inside a steel cage as per the recent advertisement.
The match seems quite inevitable at this point when these two have grown much bad blood for each other. Strowman has literally buried Owens at the MITB by throwing him off a ladder through a table.
Owens, on the other hand, is continuing his conspiracy theory against the monster among men. It only seems fair once these two get an opportunity – to compete against each other at Extreme Rules.
The other contest in speculation is between Sasha Banks and Bayley. These two have re-entered in a feud from last week onwards. They already have a brawl at the backstage area and likely to have some more.
WWE.com hinted a heated confrontation between them on tonight’s WWE Raw,
“The former besties brawled in the locker room area, and when The Boss sped away in her car, leaving The Huggable One fuming in the parking lot, it was clear that months of tension between the longtime friends had reached a boiling point. Now that it seems like they won’t be working out their differences, is another physical confrontation inevitable?”
Chances are high that we officially get a match between them at Extreme Rules. This will let them fight in a specially stipulated environment.
We have not forgotten their iconic Iron-woman match three years ago. Hopefully, WWE creative team will come up something like that at the upcoming PPV event – to prove that they are still relevant on the WWE Raw roster.
