WWE News: A Romantic Angle Is Being Planned For Bayley 1

When it comes to romantic angles, we have not got to see much of them in recent times. There was a time in the WWE where storylines involving couples used to run both Raw and Smackdown brand. The romantic involvements, cheating on one’s boyfriend and girlfriend were one of the most exciting prospects of WWE programming.

However, since the company has turned into PG, these angles have been trimmed down, extremely.

This recent bygone edition of Monday Night Raw gave a hint of an upcoming romantic angle, perhaps. It will focus on Bayley as the main character trying to build up a relationship with the Raw commentator, Corey Graves.

The seeds of the storyline were planted with Corey sitting for an interview with The Hugger on one segment of Raw. She was asked about the major defeat she was handed by Alexa Bliss at the Extreme Rules PPV. Also, she gave her opinion whether she is changing her attitude in order to be more focused to the women’s championship.

Bayley responded by saying that she is not thinking of changing her attitude at all which is an indication that she is not going to turn into a heel, someday. Giving credit to Alexa Bliss for her accomplishments, she ended the interview by giving a hug to Corey.

Now, in a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez pointed out the awkward end the segment did have on Raw. It was definitely indicating the beginning of a storyline in which Bayley would be attracted to the colourful commentator. This is the reason why she went on to give a hug to him and whispered in his ears saying, “I just rubbed your back.”

Meltzer went to say that if this is the plan that WWE has in store for Bayley in the future then it could ruin the future of the former Raw women’s champion. She is one of the four horsewomen of the NXT who is best known for her never say die attitude.

Involving her in something poor lacklustre storylines might not be good for a superstar like her who is extremely popular among the young fans. It might affect her merchandise selling, as well.
