WWE News: AJ Styles Advertised To Perform In Live Event Despite Injury 1

The injury scare of AJ Styles has turned out to be a major headache for the WWE creative team for quite a few days, right now. It started back in the Madison Square Garden live event where he was stretchered to the backstage area. The fans got scared after witnessing this since their favorite superstar was not able to stand on his own feet.

The incident occurred by an attack which was supposed to be a kayfabe one. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn ambushed both Nakamura and AJ Styles from behind. The latter one suffered most of the wrath of the heels. The referee signaled to the back hinting that the WWE Champion was injured legit. An X-signal was given to the back.

Some updates were made available on the social media suggesting conflict reports about the potential comeback of the WWE Champion to in-ring competition. Some of them suggested that the title-holder is suffering from a minor concussion whereas WWE COO, Triple H stated that the Wrestlemania main event is in certain jeopardy.

In the meantime, a positive update was given by Pwinsider.com on AJ Styles returning to action. This will happen in a multi-superstar capacity to prevent him from competing in a full-length singles competition. A live event would witness the Phenomenal One competing in an eight-man tag team match.

As per the source, the lineup would be a multi-superstar match where AJ Styles will team along with The New Day. They will face Chad Gable, Shelton Benjamin, Rusev and Aiden English. It is expected that the champion will spend the least amount of time inside the ring as the remaining superstars will make it up for him.

Meanwhile, AJ Styles sounded quite confident about the dream match at Wrestlemania. This year, the WWE fans finally got the match between him and Shinsuke Nakamura. It was a much-anticipated one ever since both of them came under the Smackdown brand following the superstar shakeup in 2017.

The Champion sounded quite confident to make it to the Wrestlemania match. In an interview with Catch Newz, he quoted to appear at the biggest event of the year even on one leg,

“If my leg got cut off I’d find a way to make it to WrestleMania. I will be wrestling Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania, don’t worry about it, it’ll be fine.”
