As reported earlier, the injury suffered by AJ Styles has kept the WWE officials on their toes for quite sometimes. It happened back in the Madison Square Garden live event following which he was pulled off from all kinds of in-ring competition. This is a precautionary step by the officials to make sure that the WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania remains intact.
Giving AJ Styles, the needed hiatus is expected to make his wounds healed in time for the biggest event of the year. However, there’s still no confirmation available on whether he can recuperate from the injury in time for the dream match against Shinsuke Nakamura. Rather, the comments from the EVP of talents revealed uncertainty of the situation.
Previously, the title-holder confirmed that he is dealing with a concussion. Although he did not throw lights on the exact location or severity of the injury. The only thing he said was to assure the fans that the Wrestlemania match is intact. However, in order to do so, he will have to get cleared by the WWE medical team which is still pending.
Triple H, the head honcho of the WWE was present in New Orleans in recent times to promote the Wrestlemania 34 PPV event. During the media conference, he was asked about whether the scheduled WWE Championship match is happening or not. The Game stated that the doctors are working overtime in order to clear the Phenomenal One prior to April 8th.
The positive thing is that AJ Styles has responded well while going through the rehabilitation process. However, if somehow, he can’t make it to Wrestlemania, no plan B or C might not work since this man is simply a non-replaceable superstar. Check out his quotes from the interview conducted by Catch-Newz, (courtesy stillrealtous.com)
“You always have to have a plan B and in case, you also have to have a plan C. So we try to have in mind what can potentially happen. AJ is an amazing sportsman and saying that we should replace AJ Styles would be really hard you know. It is not necessarily a talent that can be replaced but we would have done our best. But AJ works diligently to heal his wound and make sure he’s in great shape for WrestleMania.”
