Now, despite all the positive feedbacks from our audience, former WWE Superstar, Ryback commented on WWE and Impact trying to invest their money in a wrong place. He noted that the Indian fanbase does not have enough money to what it takes to watch wrestling on a regular basis.
Alberto El Patron aka former WWE Superstar, Alberto Del Rio was present with the Impact Wrestling roster on their India tour and commented on Ryback’s remarks. He said that the Ryback’s comments were ‘completely stupid’ as this is the perfect market for spreading pro-wrestling.
“I’m telling you this – India is the perfect market for pro wrestling because there is a lot of passion and love for the sport. This is my second time in India, and I can feel and see how passionate the Indian fans are for pro wrestling. I come from a third world country, from Mexico, where there isn’t too much money- we don’t have too much money, but we never regret something we manage- we go and spend the money we have in order to be entertained.”
He went on to compare India with his native land of Mexico in a bigger way where pro-wrestling is considered as one of the favourite sports of the country. Del Rio surely has an in-depth knowledge of the same since he belongs to a big pro-wrestling family, there.
The second-generation superstar has continued stating,
“So I can compare India with my country, Mexico. We might not have a lot of money like countries – like Germany, or United States or Spain, but we work hard every single day, to get the things that we like, and to spend money on the things that we like. So, India is a big market – for Impact Wrestling, they want to see us here, and we want to be here. As long as the Indian fans continue to support Impact Wrestling, we will continue to come down here.”
The former WWE champion is considered to be a veteran around the pro-wrestling circuit with so much experience under his name. He is the current GFW champion in the Impact Wrestling promotion and would like to retire in the near future on the same promotion.
