At present, Alexa Bliss is feuding with Mickie James for the Raw Women’s Championship. This is new rivalry over the prime female title on the flagship show that will culminate at the TLC PPV. The former six-time champion has earned her opportunity by showing her resiliency over the past few weeks.
Kurt Angle handed her the match for the TLC PPV as she will square off against her former protégé from Smackdown Live. In case you have forgotten, the veteran performer was brought back into the WWE main roster by Alexa Bliss herself before Wrestlemania 32. She formed an ally with the Wicked Witch on the blue brand to help her retain her title on multiple occasions.
Considering this, these two share quite a history between themselves. Their chemistry is still good as we have seen in these past few weeks on Raw. So, the match at the TLC PPV should be a good one. Plus, Alexa Bliss will get a rare opportunity to lock horns with one of the cornerstones of the Women’s division in a PPV title match. This can be considered as one of the biggest matches of her career.
Keeping aside the real-life hatred between these two, they share quite a strong bonding in reality. According to Bliss, Mickie James is one of the sweetest personas to be present at the backstage area who is always open-minded and helps to keep the environment, stress-free.
The five-feet of fury had a sitdown with Channel Guide Magazine where she revealed her relationship with Mickie as stated following (courtesy stillrealtous.com)
“Mickie is so amazing because she has so many ideas. She is a wealth of knowledge since she has been in the business for so long. She is super sweet and open to ideas. I’m looking forward to continuing our program.”
The champion also revealed how their program was originally scheduled to begin,
“We did a segment where I gave Mickie James some Depend products and a walker. My original pitch was to give her a Life Alert. It didn’t happen, but Nia ended up using a line about it in their match. That’s teamwork right there…WWE creative is amazing.”
We are looking forward to the championship match at TLC PPV on this weekend. Going forward, the scenario in the division is bound to be changed as none, but Asuka will be debuting on Raw.
