WWE News: Alexa Bliss Talked About Not Being A ‘Diva’ Anymore
For the women athletes in the WWE, it is the best time to perform in the company. The female superstars are no longer considered as the term, ‘Diva’, anymore. Alexa Bliss is one of those cornerstones in the ongoing Women’s Revolution who has been able to make her own stable position on the roster.
She won the Women’s Championship back at the Payback PPV defeating Bayley. The WWE Creative was so high when it comes to the goddess of the WWE that they let Bliss won two consecutive squash matches against the baby face, Bayley. This just indicates that how much faith the writers have in Little Miss Bliss’ capabilities.
Even bigger planning is coming forward with feuds like Sasha Banks and Bayley. The latter one will face her at the Summerslam PPV but with the momentum by her side, it’s hard to believe that she will lose her crown. Rather, the promo-queen will walk into the biggest event of the summer as the reigning champion to stay glued on her throne.
When it comes to promos, Alexa Bliss is perhaps the best, right now in the WWE. But, in a recent interview with News Hub, Bliss declared that she used to feel anxiety over those promo classes held by the late great, Dusty Rhodes. Check out her comments:
“I would have anxiety over our promo classes and I would panic and I was just terrible on the microphone. But the fact we had classes every week I was able to gain confidence and learn how to speak in front of an audience, be it 500, 5000 or 50,000.”
“Our promo coach was WWE legend, the late Dusty Rhodes, and he would talk about trying new things and getting out of our comfort zone. He was a huge influence on me.”
She also noted on the term Diva being wiped out with the WWE dictionary. It was one of the best things that could have happened to the women present in the company. This certainly has removed the drawn line between them and male athletes, as they too are referred as superstars.
“We are superstars now, we are no longer ‘Divas’. We have this women’s revolution going on right now with what we as WWE superstars are achieving, week in and week out. We are constantly proving more and more what amazing athletes the WWE women’s division has.”
