Roman Reigns had to vacate the Universal Championship on October 23rd edition of WWE Raw. He is suffering from Leukemia which has come back from remission after eleven years. This will not allow him to compete inside the ring for a long time. Currently, he is away from the scene in order to bring the fight to this terrible disease. But his absence does not stop WWE referring to this situation, at all.

When we can expect Roman Reigns to return to the WWE?

In fact, WWE used this as a storyline angle as Dean Ambrose turned on Seth Rollins on the same night when this tragedy happened. Thereafter, we have heard multiple references of Roman Reigns from both these superstars. Seth Rollins was in a disgusting mood after his former brother stabbed him in the back on such an emotional night.

Dean Ambrose, on the other hand, took things way beyond the limit by saying that Roman Reigns is handling repercussions from his past sins. The Shield always used him as a watchman, as per him. So he did not dare to say that The Big Dog will now answer to the man who’s sitting at upstairs. Meanwhile, Rollins will have to answer to the Lunatic Fringe.

As much as the fans don’t like to hear these comments on TV, WWE will continue to use these. Dave Meltzer discussed the controversial topic on Wrestling Observer Radio confirming that WWE will continue to use Roman Reigns leukemia reference on WWE Raw. This will definitely garner some sympathetic reactions for Seth Rollins, (courtesy stillrealtoous.com)

“WWE made a decision to keep using the Roman Reigns’ leukemia diagnosis as a talking point in the Ambrose/Rollins feud moving forward, but it’s not known how often Roman will be mentioned.”

However, we do want to remind you that this does not mean a preponed return for Roman Reigns overcoming Leukemia. He will have to go through a long recovery process. Prior to making the return on WWE Raw. Currently, no source has been able to give a proper timeline for his comeback. It also means that he will miss the chance to feature on Wrestlemania main event for a fifth straight year.
