WWE News: Andrade Cien Almas to Compete Against Former Friend on Smackdown 1

Andrade Cien Almas will compete on next week’s Smackdown Live. He is a former NXT Champion who lost the title at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

Aleister Back became the new champion on the NXT roster. WWE officials put Almas onto the blue brand of the WWE. It was a bigger acquisition for the Tuesday Night Show.

It looks like that the ‘Eli-Dolo’ has got his first rival on Smackdown Live. He will compete against the particular superstar, next week.

Sin Cara is the concerned name who will compete in a singles competition against this athletic superstar. The GM of the show confirmed that this match is happening.

We spotted a backstage altercation between Sin Cara and Almas on last week’s Smackdown. The masked superstar is a former friend of the former NXT Champion. He was happy to see Almas by his side. So Cara went on to hug him. But, Zelina Vega stopped him from doing so. She also advised him to stay away from her client.

Sin Cara could not listen to Vega’s words. Both Cara and Almas belong to Mexico. They worked together on same promotions before coming to the WWE. So the shared a very good friendship. The Luchador wanted to renew that ally on Smackdown Live once again.

We heard him saying about that on this week’s show during an interview with Dasha Fuentes.

Zelina Vega approached him and stated Almas does not need any friend on Smackdown Live. She has already got the best thing to happen to him. She is none other than Vega, herself.

Almas wanted to compete in a match on next week’s Smackdown Live. The GM of the show agreed to the pledge made by the Mexican Superstar. So Vega informed us that Andrade Cien Almas vs Sin Cara is official for next week. Almas appeared out of nowhere to attack Cara from the back after this announcement.

It looks like WWE is starting a new rivalry between these two on Smackdown Live. It is a cunning move to put over the young superstar with the help of a veteran name like Sin Cara.

Almas had already received his debut match on Tuesday Nights. But it was against rookie opponents. It will be a first-time ever that he will compete against a main-roster superstar.
