WWE News: Another Match To Be Added To The Extreme Rules PPV 1

With the recent happenings on Monday Night Raw, it is expected that another match will be added to the Extreme Rules PPV. In total, six matches are scheduled to take place on this Sunday night’s PPV making it a seventh and last one for the night. Plus, it will be added to the very last moment on the card.

The Golden Truth team was formed back in 2016 in order to make both Goldust and R-Truth relevant in the main roster. These two are WWE veteran and forming a tag team with these two was a good idea by the creative.

But, being the veteran workers in the locker room, they turned out to be the jobbers. The creative used them to put over the newer guys for an entire year until we have seen the sudden transformation of Goldust a couple of weeks ago.

He turned on his own partner and delivered a vicious attack on him. Afterwards, his old gimmick was back in the WWE from the Attitude Era. As we have witnessed in this past weeks, The Bizarre One claimed to be back in the company with a heel persona.

So, quite evidently, Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer Radio that the Goldust vs. R-Truth match will be made official for this Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV. It will be an interesting matchup for many of the fans who love to see the older version of Goldust.

However, some of the fans could not resist from opposing the idea and took their Twitter handle to claim that Goldust was always a jobber putting over the main event guys. At this age, the heel turn is unnecessary and will take him to nowhere.

To prove his logic, despite the veteran that he is Goldust never made it to the main event spotlight in his entire career. He always performed in the mid-car scene and did not have the opportunity to be called a WWE champion, for once.

Goldust’s brother Cody Rhodes fired back to the fan claiming that he is multi-time IC title and tag team championship holder which makes him a future Hall of Famer. We have to wait and see whether WWE has in-store a decent run for him.
