The Mixed Match Challenge continued on WWE programming, last night. The schedule of this show was placed right after the Smackdown Live show on USA Network pushing down the 205 Live tapings before the Tuesday Night show. The exclusive show gets telecasted in a taped format, nowadays.
Last week, it marked the first-ever match in the Mixed Match Challenge series between Sasha Banks-Finn Balor vs Natalya-Shinsuke Nakamura. The first team emerged as the victorious to go on to the second round of the tournament. This week, it was the turn for the Intercontinental Champion showing up with the woman possessing an undefeated streak to take on a team from the blue brand.
Once Smackdown Live went off the air, Big E and Carmella came out first in a good reaction. Before coming out, they featured in a promo to hype up the contest. The Miz and Asuka joined them with another promo boasting about their upcoming win. Also, a pre-taped video was shown featuring Daniel Bryan and Kurt Angle, where the two general managers thanked the WWE Universe for letting this tradition a success on Facebook Watch.

Going forward, Big E and The Miz started the match. The member of the New Day began doing his fun antics against the Hollywood A-lister to fire up the crowd. The crowd broke into a New Day Rocks chant to cheer up one of the unicorns. The IC Champion was quick to tag in Asuka to change the complexion of the match.
The Empress of Tomorrow dominated to a certain point after which Big E handed her a stick under the rope, but Asuka grabbed it and broke into half. Latter, Carmella tagged in her partner into the match. This time around, The Miz took control by delivering a DDT to E. Carmella broke the count saving the matchup.
