WWE News: Asuka Detected with an Injury by WWE Doctors 1

It looks like the injury season has caught up with the WWE Superstars, once again. The injury bug biting the roster started just before the Summerslam PPV.

It began with The Revival member Dash Wilder suffering from a torn biceps. The next Raw witnessed Bayley suffering an elbow injury that put her out from the scheduled championship matchup at the event against Alexa Bliss.

Now, we have got reports of Big Cass getting injured on this week’s Raw. Plus, the WWE doctors now have confirmed that Asuka from NXT has been the latest addition to the list. She picked up the concussion on her collarbone during the title match against Ember Moon at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III event. It was the match that stole the show and was given the title of the best match of the night by the critics.

Asuka was able to come out victorious, once again continuing her championship reign which has crossed the 500-day landmark. But, with this injury occurring, she might not be able to remain champion, anymore. We are going to get an update on the situation on this upcoming episode of NXT, for sure.

According to the WWE doctor, Jefferey Westerfield, Asuka landed badly following a throw by Ember Moon during the NXT Takeover match. She was in severe pain and capable of completing the contest. But, in the process, her collarbone was fractured, and the recovery process is said to be 4-6 weeks which means that she will have to stay out of action for two months, at least. Check out the updates provided by WWE.com.

“During the match, she landed awkwardly from a throw from Ember Moon and was able to complete the match, but had notable pain and discomfort. We performed an initial ultrasound backstage that was highly suspicious of a break that was later confirmed by an X-ray.”

The NXT Women’s Champion is still undefeated ever since debuting in the roster, two years ago. She has now become the longest reigning champion in the modern day history of the WWE. Nobody has been able to match-up to her level, so far in the developmental territory. So, it will be much unfortunate if this injury takes the title away from her.
