The landscape of the Smackdown Live division has changed, entirely with the superstar shakeup.
Numerous superstars from WWE Monday Night Raw and NXT were inserted into it. As per the initial comparison, the blue brand might have benefitted a lot from the flagship show since they will be able to produce some mouth-watering feuds, over the near future.
The women’s division of Smackdown was revamped a lot, too. Natalya and the Riott Squad were excluded from it. To replace them, The Absolution, The Iconic Duo, and Asuka entered the scene.
Needless to say, the biggest acquisition that the blue brand has made is in the form of the former NXT Women’s Champion.
Last week, Charlotte fell victim to the heel superstars, once again. The team of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay alongside the current Smackdown women’s champion, Carmella went right after the Queen and the Irish Lass-kicker who was caught up in the number game. But, all of sudden, Asuka ran down to make the save.
The heel superstars were shoved off the ring all by Asuka, herself. They were seeing like a ghost, literally, that will continue to haunt them in the near future. It was officially known that the former streak-holder was included in the blue brand. Now, we know, that on the next edition of Smackdown, she will make the in-ring debut.
It is going to be a tag team match where the team of Becky Lynch and Asuka will take on the Iconic Duo. Check out confirmations from WWE.com,
“One week after Asuka arrived on SmackDown LIVE as part of the Superstar Shake-up, The Empress of Tomorrow will make her official in-ring debut as a member of the blue brand when she teams up with Becky Lynch to battle The IIconics. Asuka’s stunning SmackDown arrival came this past Tuesday when she saved Becky and Charlotte Flair from a three-on-two beatdown at the hands of SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella and Billie Kay & Peyton Royce of The IIconics.”

Asuka and Iconic Duo are no strangers to each other. While being on NXT, they had numerous encounters over the title and non-title matches.
So, a rivalry will get renewed amongst them on the blue brand. But, this time around, the streak no more exists.
So, we will see if that affects the performance for the Empress of Tomorrow. Also, Charlotte Flair will be present on the scene to prevent any outside interferences.
