WWE News: Asuka’s Main Roster Debut Confirmed at the WWE TLC PPV
Sep 25, 2017 at 3:41 PM
Ever since Asuka surrendered the WWE NXT Women’s Championship, the speculations are running rampant about her debut on the main roster.
At the NXT Takeover Brooklyn III event, she suffered a collarbone injury that sidelined her from in-ring action for six weeks, apparently. Upon that news, she relinquished the title and also announced her departure from NXT.
Following the news, the rumours were strong she is set to join the Raw brand, The confirmation of the same came a few days later when we saw a vignette featuring Asuka. The promo stated the Empress of Tomorrow would get included into the female roster of the Raw division which is not a pleasant news for the women on the roster, as well.
We have not got further updates on Asuka until WWE came up with another announcement, last night. During the No Mercy PPV, another promo was shown that confirmed the dominant champion will make her Raw debut at the WWE TLC PPV.

Following No Mercy event, there will be another Raw-exclusive PPV in October. The annual version of Tables, Ladders, and Chairs for 2017 will take place on the 22nd of October. The show will be hosted by the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and will witness the much-anticipated debut of the former NXT Women’s Champion. These are the further updates provided by WWE.com, later the night:
“Asuka’s highly anticipated main roster debut will occur on Oct. 22 at the WWE TLC pay-per-view.
The WWE Universe has been on pins and needles as to when The Empress of Tomorrow might be coming to Raw’s Women’s division. While Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss did indicate during WWE No Mercy Kickoff’s Social Media Lounge that the addition of the fierce former NXT Women’s Champion will be exciting, one has to wonder how The Goddess and the rest of the locker room truly feel about such a dominant player entering the field.Don’t miss it when Asuka turns Raw upside down at WWE TLC, Oct. 22 at 8 ET/5 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.”
More details of the planning of her debut might get revealed on the next edition of Monday Night Raw that will air tomorrow night. Alexa Bliss is still the reigning champion but is not going to the debut opponent for Asuka. As for now, the rumoured plan is to arrange a match between Asuka and Emma at TLC.
