WWE News: Backstage Update On The Undertaker’s Career Post-Wrestlemania XXXIII
The Undertaker was back into the in-ring competition during this year’s Royal Rumble match. As reported by allwrestlingnews.com, he had undergone a small hip surgery in order to get ready to appear at Wrestlemania. This was supposed to be a premature call for him and the issue needs to be fixed, properly in the future.
Once, Wrestlemania season is over, he is said to undergo yet another surgery. This time his entire hip portion will be replaced, shelving him from in-ring competition for a longer period. The scars of his battles over the year are troubling him for quite sometimes now, and it might result in putting an end to his career, permanently.
PWInsider.com reported saying that Undertaker’s hip condition has become much worse than thought by the WWE doctors. It was felt during his appearance on Raw, last week when he delivered a chokeslam to Braun Strowman. Just after connecting his trademark move, he was seen limping and portraying a cracked face.
Then, he took another nasty bump after Roman reigns connected with a brutal spear on him. It took him a long time to recover. He barely sat upon in his signature style in severe pain. Although he finished the segment, he was clearly seen in pain following the conclusion of Raw.
The source stated that The Undertaker was limping on his way to the locker room area. He might be selling the spear delivered by Roman Reigns, but it was a non-televised segment. So, there’s no need to focus on kayfabe things over there.
He was given medical attention once the segment was done and was seen struggling, reportedly. If the condition prevails then it might turn out to be his very last Wrestlemania. Though, Roman Reigns is a sure-shot winner in the upcoming contest between two to claim that he is the one to retire Undertaker.
On the other hand, if the Deadman finds a way to pick up the win, then it would be his 100th PPV victory. His outing on this year’s Mania will mark his 170th PPV appearance with 99 wins, so far.
