WWE News: Backup Plan For Batista If Triple H Can’t Compete At Wrestlemania
WWE’s headache for setting up matches at Wrestlemania has just gone bigger with Triple H’s injury. He is one of the bonafide performers on this show for the past two decades. One of the main-event matches always belongs to this man no matter what. But it looks like the trusted shoulder will not be available following the surgery performed last week.
Triple H tore his pectoral muscle at the Crown Jewel PPV event. He was able to finish the match working with just one arm, being a veteran. An immediate surgery was required to fix the issue, thereafter. Dr. Jeffery Duggas performed the operation successfully in Birmingham, Alabama that will not allow him to compete in the ring for an undetermined time span.
Normally, a torn pectoral muscle takes five to nine months to heal up. On average, six months are required that overtakes the Wrestlemania schedule of 2019. So it’s almost certain that Triple H can not perform at the biggest event of the year. This is why WWE officials will give to make a massive change on the card as Triple H’s match was already set for the show.
Reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that Batista vs. Triple H was indeed going to be a marquee match at Wrestlemania 35. Batista taking a shot to The Game on Smackdown 1000 was just the initiation of a future storyline angle. But now those planning should be scrapped. Officials have to replace Triple H with somebody else.
Well, the backup plan has also been surfaced via the same source. Randy Orton would work in this match ‘if Triple H is unavailable and Batista still wants to work a match’. The Animal wanted to have his farewell match specifically against Triple H at Wrestlemania. With the COO of the company being out with injury, it’s completely up to Batista whether he works on the show or not.
Previously, Randy Orton vs. Batista was going to be the main event of WrestleMania 30 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. But Daniel Bryan’s inclusion converted this into a triple threat match. These two have worked in several feuds in the WWE, previously. So, we should not be surprised if Batista turns down this offer.
The source also mentioned that John Cena had pectoral muscle-torn in his career and he came back before six months. So there could be a chance for Triple H to make it to Wrestlemania. But John Cena is a superman who has the nag of an early healing process from injuries, always. Triple H’s body takes normal time frame to recover which is why he is still considered off from Wrestlemania.
