Evolution is going to be the women’s Wrestlemania in the WWE. It is the first time that a pro-wrestling promotion will host a separate event for the women superstars only. Prior to this, no one could have barely thought of a PPV event that features only the female superstars, all the way.
WWE is pushing this idea for a long time now. It is why we have seen the Mae Young Classic starting last year. The tournament will return to TV on this year’s fall much to the delight of the fans. 32 competitors all around the globe will get to participate in this series to earn a WWE contract, in the end.
We should note the finale of the series will take place at the Evolution PPV event. Furthermore, there will be multiple championship matches on the card. It includes the WWE Raw, Smackdown and NXT women’s titles and more. Overall, 50 superstars will feature on the card that teases some of the dream matches.
There are no doubts that multiple superstars from the past will come back to attend the show and make it a must-watch for the fans. Stephanie McMahon, one of the innovators of Evolution might feature in a match. Plus, WWE has also locked in names like the Bella Twins, Trish Stratus and Lita for the show.
Alexa Bliss had already challenged her idol, Trish into a match. Now it looks like Lita will have a singles contest too if the creative team permits. Current roster member Bayley gave an interview on WWE.com wanting to be a part of Evolution and wrestle Lita in a match. It could be a huge booster for her career that has been going on a lacklustre note for a while.
Check out her comments from the interview, (courtesy stillrealtous.com),
“It’s just like the Royal Rumble, you didn’t know who was going to come out next, and I have to say, I wish I had gotten in the ring with Lita. So, maybe we can have that match. Maybe I can make that match right now. Maybe if I can have a match against Lita, that’s like a dream match in the first ever all women’s pay-per-view, Evolution.”
Well, only the officials can say the last words about this match for the Evolution PPV. There’s no doubt that we will see a couple of these dream matches on the card, for sure.
We have seen some of those scenarios at the bygone Women’s Royal Rumble match. Hopefully, Bayley can be a part of those at the much-anticipated Evolution PPV coming up on October 28th.
