WWE News: Becky Lynch Blames WWE for not Giving her Push on Smackdown

Becky Lynch is currently going through a transformation on Smackdown Live. She was nowhere around the title picture for the last one and a half year. Many complained about WWE wasting this special talent, months after months. They converted her into a jobber by putting over younger talents coming on Smackdown Live.

It was not fair to the inaugural Smackdown women’s champion by any means. Becky Lynch was the first draft pick for the blue brand in 2016. Initially, WWE was about to make her the cornerstone of the division. She never ran out of fans’ support as well which pointed out towards the mistakes committed by the WWE officials.

Well, there’s a saying ‘better late than never’. Becky Lynch is undergoing a current elevation process in the WWE. A much-needed heel turn happened at Summerslam on Charlotte. The crowd loved the segment where she beat the hell out of her former buddy from the ‘four horsewomen’ faction. They saw it coming months ago and cheered her throughout.

Now WWE was hell-bent on getting sympathy for Charlotte Flair with this attack. We saw another such ambush from behind on Smackdown on this past edition. Becky Lynch is the heel character who should receive boos. But practical experience suggests otherwise. Fans are backing up the Irish Lady, whereas, Charlotte is getting loud boos.

It could halt the process of making Charlotte Flair the poster girl of the women’s division. So they are trying Becky Lynch to take shots at the fans directly. A poll had begun on WWE.com asking whether we were in support of the former champion while she was in pursuit of the title. The woman in concern had an interesting take on this matter.

Becky Lynch suggested WWE should ask this question to themselves. It was the head honchos who were holding her back ever since she came to the main roster. Even on NXT, they did not let her win the women’s title, whereas, her partners from four-horsewomen did have a run with it.

Fans would agree with the fact that Becky Lynch needs justice. So they will continue showering her with cheers instead of boos. Some of the WWE Universe finds this role similar to that of Stone Cold Steve Austin during his early run.

Maybe they have found a female version of the character for now. It’s good for Becky, as she continues to fetch the spotlight on Smackdown.
