One of the most talked incidents of WWE programming happened prior to the Survivor Series PPV event. This is the one night of the year where Raw and Smackdown brand go head to head to determine the brand supremacy. In order to set the tone right for the special show, invasions between brands are evident. That’s what happened on the November 12th edition of Monday Night Raw. Becky Lynch led the entire Smackdown women’s roster to ambush the Raw women’s division.
Becky Lynch still not cleared for TLC
The mission was successful but she herself picked up an injury. Nia Jax hit her legit into the face causing a broken face. Doctors did not clear her to compete at the Survivor Series show as she was dealing with this concussion. So we missed the dream match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey, as well. Moreover, the face of Becky Lynch covered with blood became a topic of discussion.
This was perhaps the first time in WWE history that we witness a woman superstar fighting it out with blood covered her whole body. Some resemble the picture to that of Stone Cold Steve Austin. This also led birth to comparisons between the two of them. Although Becky Lynch could not compete at Survivor Series, this condition increased her popularity only.
Recently, the 2-time Smackdown women’s champion spoke on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show. The hosts asked her about what her actual condition was on that night. She confirmed that the punch sent her into a ‘black-out’ condition. But her inside instincts gave her the courage to fight even in this condition that earned huge cheers from the audience,
“I got a severe concussion and I broke my nose, so I was in [the] hospital that night after the event, so I completely blacked out after I got hit, right? But I rolled to the ropes and got back up again. I guess my autopilot kicked in and I smashed half of RAW including Runny Ronnie. So it turns out that my autopilot is a badass too.”
This justified her nickname of The Man. From Evolution onwards, she is calling herself with this particular name. Fans could not agree more with it increasing her popularity to an all-time high. Becky Lynch is also loving the madness going around her. So she thinks it’s only fitting that the creative team books her in the main event spotlight,
“If I had a vision board, that would be on my vision board. But I think the possibility is right there, right? And for no other reason than it is the fight that people most care about seeing, right? So it doesn’t matter what the gender is or if it’s for [WWE] Evolution and it’s the one that people care about the most, and so it should be the main event.”
