The top-ranked female superstars’ list is finally here as we approach towards the end of 2019. Pro Wrestling Illustrated has released their annual PWI Top-100 rankings for female wrestlers. There’s no prize for guessing who tops the list. Becky Lynch is the undisputed first name on the chart, this year after winning the main event of WrestleMania 35.

Push coming for women’s tag-team division

This is obviously not the only accolade that Becky Lynch has earned this year. The WrestleMania 35 main event is only one of the milestones that she has achieved.

Back in January, she won the women’s Royal Rumble match to earn her rights to compete in the first-ever main event match on the grandest stage of them all. By winning this contest, she became the first-ever dual Champion in WWE’s female division history.

Both the WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships belonged to her. She pinned Ronda Rousey to earn the accolade and thus became the only woman to defeat the former UFC Bantamweight Champion during her WWE career. Eventually, Rousey was the one who topped the 2018 edition of PWI Top-100 rankings for female athletes which fits Becky’s name at the first position in 2019, perfectly.

Jericho did not like Stephanie as his manager

“The Man” Becky Lynch reacted on her accolade with the following tweet,

Speaking of accolades, Becky Lynch has received more of these rather than just winning the Women’s WrestleMania main event. She is the first woman in WWE history to become the top merchandise seller for the better part of the 2018-19 season. Plus, she also is the first woman to grace the cover of the WWE 2K video game for the 2K20 edition.

Critics do claim her to be the most ‘over’ superstar of the current era which is no less than an achievement, too. Good times will continue for Becky Lynch as there’s no lack of interest for her among the fans. Meanwhile, you may want to tally the PWI Top-100 rankings for female athletes’ list for the past five years,
