If you’re a follower of WWE programming then you should know that Charlotte Flair was the chosen one. Ever since stepping his feet into the company, Vince McMahon chose her as the special one on the roster. Down the road, we will consider her as the greatest female wrestler to ever existed in this business.

Shocking: Ronda Rousey requested a beatdown from Becky!

No wonder why the contemporary names of Sasha Banks or Becky Lynch could not become strong champions like her. They had the same capabilities as Charlotte Flair since the beginning of their main roster stint in 2015. But her chosen one status always kept Flair ahead of the other members of the Four-Horsewomen squad.

But the scenario changed in 2018 when Becky Lynch turned heel. This woman had immense support behind her from the fans. But Vince McMahon never bothered to give her a push in her entire career. But when he decided to do so, the Irish Lass-Kicker took over the entire pro-wrestling industry. The chosen one spot has also changed.

As per the reports of Wrestling Observer Newsletter the coveted spot has been altered between the two ladies. Charlotte Flair is no longer the “chosen one” in WWE, it’s “The Man” Becky Lynch. We can assume that as the latter one won the women’s Royal Rumble match. She should be in the main event scene, no matter what.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio about the booking of Becky Lynch for Royal Rumble event. He pointed out that if anyone watches WWE programming nowadays, it’s not hard to predict that The Man is the new chosen one. This happened despite Vince McMahon changing his mind all the time.

“If you watch TV it’s so clear…the whole thing, I mean the whole thing is if they would have had Charlotte win the Royal Rumble…if, okay? It wouldn’t make sense. It just wouldn’t make sense as far as the storyline goes. Vince was insistent, absolutely insistent that Becky Lynch had to win the Royal Rumble even though in that sense they had to do a storyline that then negated it even though she’s gonna get back in later.”

Becky Lynch has chosen to face Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania 35 after winning the Royal Rumble match. But she is going through a 60-day suspension through a storyline. So currently, WWE has booked Charlotte Flair to face Rousey replacing Becky. But this scene is likely to change as we approach towards Wrestlemania 35.
