Becky Lynch (real name Rebecca Quin) is the inaugural Smackdown women’s champion. She signed a contract with the WWE in 2013 and started performing at the NXT.
That led her into featuring to the dominant female stable of the division, “The Four Horsewomen” alongside Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Bayley.
She debuted on the main roster with Charlotte and Sasha during the summer of 2015. Now, while her contemporaries have gone miles ahead in their career, she seems lagging behind in the race. It was expected that she would come up with her own success story following the WWE Draft in 2016.
But, with the rise of Alexa Bliss and Naomi, she was lost in the mix. Despite all the support from the fans, she failed to make an impact on WWE TV with her “Irish Lass-kicker” character. This might be the reason she is probably thinking of adding a comic relief to it. This might led her to a big push in the future.
Recently, Becky Lynch talked to The Mirror and nurtured the option of adding a humorous gimmick into her character. This will also help her to remain babyface on the Smackdown Live. This is what she stated exactly:
“Oh, I’ve been begging for the chance. That’s all I want to do. Comedy is part of my personality in general but I feel that maybe there has been one aspect you have seen of me. I get jumped an awful lot, probably more than any one person has done in their entire life, over the past two years, so I would love to develop different aspects.”
“I have been able to show that fiery aspect, that never giving up aspect, which says ‘okay you can do this to me, but I’m going to keep standing up for myself and come back, I’m not going to let it change me, I’m going to do things with integrity’. That is good for so long but I would really like to develop different aspects of myself on TV.”
