Smackdown continues to come up with interesting episodes on a weekly basis. This show has been a constant hit among the pro-wrestling fans over the last few weeks.
Bookings for the superstars has tremendously been fresh that never really bore us. It is one unique quality of the blue brand that keeps the show ahead of Monday Night Raw.
This past episode was no different either. Multiple returns happened on Smackdown Live to give us an entertaining edition. Charlotte Flair came back to change the Women’s Championship picture. The previously set up match has now become a triple threat at Summerslam. Also Jeff hardy returned to hint about the potential US title picture.
Apart from these, the Smackdown tag team tournament continued on the show. The first round ended that set up the lineup for the finale. Two veteran tag teams will collide to capture the number one contender’s spot. It is going to happen in the very next episode of the show that will take place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

The Bar locked horns this week against The Usos to deliver a solid matchup. Many believe it was one of the best tag matches in recent times and the best of the July 31st episode. In the end, it was the team of Sheamus and Cesaro who picked up the win. So, they advanced to the finals.
Next week the contenders’ match for the Smackdown tag team titles will take place between The Bar and The New Day. The other team had defeated SAnitY, last week to solidify their spots at the final. The chances are high that New Day would win this matchup to confirm a championship match against the Bludgeon Brothers. It will take place on August 19th at the Summerslam PPV event.

Apart from this match, the WWE Champion will return to his show next week. AJ Styles was absent from this week’s show courtesy of an attack by Samoa Joe, last week.
But with Summerslam approaching closer towards us, we can’t have the show without the prime champion in it. He is likely to give a proper reply to the insults made by Joe about his family.
