Daniel Bryan was not present on this week’s Smackdown Live edition. His current contract allows him to work on some selective dates in the entire year.

This is why he is skipping some of the televised shows on Tuesday Nights. Last night was amongst one of them.

The former GM of Smackdown was not present on the main show. We did know earlier WWE had booked him for the MITB ladder match. He will compete in a rematch against Big Cass on that night. A hype-up around this match was a must.

Big Cass used the opportunity to stand in the ring with a mic in hand. Renee Young interviewed her on the ramp. We got to know some bitter truth about this rivalry.

It looks like the seven-footer is unhappy with Daniel Bryan for a long time. He interestingly revealed the same.

Cass mentioned Bryan’s victory at Backlash was a complete fluke just like it was at Wrestlemania 30. He did win the world title, but his career went downwards since then. The neck injury gave him major troubles causing tough situations.

Big Cass also disclosed he was there in person at Wrestlemania 30 and watched the win of Daniel Bryan. It was the developmental territory days for him back in NXT. He could not believe this little guy was able to climb the mountain while he was sitting on the back.

These were his comments from wrestleview.com,

“Big Cass says poor little guy, he almost feels bad for him, but Daniel brought it upon himself when he asked to come back into the ring. But little did he know he would have a seven-foot shadow following him.”

Cass continued to shower Daniel Bryan with some strong words. The fact he was unable to win the MITB qualifying match did not go in his favour, too. The big man continued to remind us about that.

It looks like the WWE Creative team is planting a long-term story between these two to make us believe in it. They should be able to deliver a good match at MITB depending on this bad blood.
