WWE News: Big Cass Undergoes Successful Surgery, Will be Out for Nine Months 1

As reported earlier, Big Cass suffered a legitimate knee injury on this past episode of Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn, New York. He was scheduled to feature in a Brooklyn street fight against his former partner, Enzo Amore. It looked like that he is going to pick up yet another big win against Enzo until he took a nasty bump on the floor.

While he was going for a big kick to the Certified G superstar, he missed it causing a landing over the top rope straight onto the floor. His entire body weight was put on his knees while the bump was taken that made him unable to finish the matchup. As a result, the referee called for the bell giving Enzo the victory.

Later, WWE.com confirmed that he suffered an ACL tear which would require surgery,

“An initial MRI of Big Cass’ left knee shows that he will require surgery.
“It looks like he has an ACL tear, possibly a medial meniscus tear, but we’re going to wait for the radiologist to evaluate the MRI and give us their full report,”
WWE ringside physician Dr Chris Robinson said.

The seven-footer will be undergoing surgery this week to repair the damage, which will be the start of a long road back to the squared circle.

“A typical ACL tear takes about nine months [to recover from],” Robinson said.”

Now, Big Cass has indeed undergone surgery as quick as possible to fix the ACL tear. Some of the photos from the hospital were posted by his girlfriend, Carmella who was by his side during this tough time. The surgery went successful, as per the updates as the seven-footer will soon start rehabbing for taking back his knees to a better position.

But, the devastating news is that this surgery would take away nine months of his career from this point. It is devastating for a promising superstar like him who was bound for a big push as a big heel from Summerslam onwards.

He has to start fresh on the roster upon coming back. In nine months of time span, the WWE scenario can turn upside down which means he has to put extra efforts to get noticed.
