WWE News: Big Championship Match Added to the Survivor Series PPV 1

The cruiserweight title picture is revolving around Kalisto and Enzo Amore for quite sometimes now. The latter one became the new title holder at the No Mercy PPV by hitting a low blow to the then champion, Neville who never received the rematch.

The feud between these two was not taken forward since the king of the cruiserweights decided to leave the WWE. It made Kalisto the new challenger for Enzo on 205 Live. The masked Luchador was quick to catch the title at his first opportunity.

But, considering Enzo Amore is the hottest property in the Cruiserweight division, it’s likely that he held on to the title. It is why the creative team has awarded him with his second championship win at the TLC PPV. He gave a thumb to the eye of Kalisto to pick up the win.

In the rematch, the certified G superstar intentionally disqualified himself to get rid of the offensive moves delivered by Kalisto. The high-flyer was in the driver’s seat and hence, Enzo had no other choice to run away from his opponent.

However, as per the latest announcement, he will have to deal with the challenges thrown by Kalisto. At the Survivor Series PPV, the former US champion will get another opportunity to earn the title from the lightweight division. Following this week’s 205 Live, Enzo vs Kalisto for the Cruiserweight title has been announced.

This was further confirmed in a post on WWE.com,

“Kalisto is determined to dethrone Amore and bring prestige back to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, but Enzo is just as serious about hanging on to the title by any means necessary. Who will survive this battle of wills? Find out at WWE Survivor Series, streaming live on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network!”

For now, this is the first matchup on the PPV card which does not have the brand vs brand flavour attached. This will be a normal title match on the card. Considering that Enzo Amore is the one who is selling the Cruiserweight division, chances are pretty low that the title will change hand. The champion will retain via some dirty tricks, again.
