As per the previous updates from WWE.com, we expected to see a championship match on this week’s edition of WWE Raw. With Survivor Series PPV done, the former WWE Raw tag team champions, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were about to invoke their rematch clause as early as possible.
However, that was not the scene on the show since members from both the teams were missing from the TV.
Dean Ambrose from the challenger team and Sheamus from the champion team were absent this week. The Lunatic Fringe was enjoying his honeymoon in Hawaii, whereas, the Celtic Warrior headed to his home country of Ireland for a vacation. In case you don’t know, Ambrose is married to WWE host, Renee Young who also missed this week’s show. Hence, the scheduled match needed to postpone.
IT’S ON! @WWESheamus & @WWECesaro will put their #RAW #TagTeamTitles on the line against @WWERollins & @TheDeanAmbrose next week on #RAW! pic.twitter.com/puhz7edeFG

To replace the match, we had a lengthy singles match between Seth Rollins and Cesaro. The Swiss Superman targeted the mid-section of the Architect for the better part of the match, and punished him by locking in the Sharpshooter. However, Rollins came back in an angry way to hit the Ripcord Knee on his opponent for the victory.
Once the match was over, The Kingslayer gave an interview with Charly Caruso where he revealed that Dean Ambrose would be back on WWE Raw, next week. Hence, they will be invoking the rematch clause in the next episode. Two-third members of The Shield took on The Bar for the Raw tag team championships. The show will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California which means the fans will be treated with a great match when Raw goes Hollywood.
Looking forward to beating @WWERollins & Dean again next week on #RAW and prove once again why we don’t just set the bar… we are #TheBar pic.twitter.com/6v22u1leWg

The rivalry between these two teams has been ongoing since this year’s summer leading to a great chemistry. Hence, they are expected to tear the house down. Going by the words of Rollins, we might also see a championship change on the show, as well. With The Shield still going strong and Roman Reigns being the Intercontinental Champion, the other halves should also carry the gold by their side.
