Only one spot is left for the men’s division MITB ladder match on Smackdown.
In combined, there are eight slots available in this match. Four superstars from Raw and Smackdown will be able to compete in this match. All four of them declared from the Raw division are Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Bobby Roode and Kevin Owens.
On the other hand, from Smackdown Live, three names have qualified. Rusev, The Miz and one of the New Day members will compete in it. For the fourth spot, a first-time matchup got confirmed on next week’s Smackdown Live. As per the confirmation, Big Cass will compete against Samoa Joe.
It’s an interesting lineup since both these men are heels on the roster. Particularly, in these kinds of qualifiers, a heel vs a babyface lineup seems ideal. But, this time around, an unusual match was chosen. It is going to be second time only that Samoa will compete on the blue brand.

Check out the confirmations from WWE.com regarding this match,
“There is one more opening for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and it will go to the winner of a battle next Tuesday between two of SmackDown LIVE’s most fearsome Superstars: Samoa Joe and Big Cass. Who will claim the final place in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match? Find out next Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE at 8/7 C on USA Network!”
The chances are high that Samoa will win this MITB qualifier. Currently, Cass is involved in a feud against Daniel Bryan. After the nasty insults to the former SD GM, Bryan is expected to make his presence felt during this match.
This would give the upper hand to the Samoan Submission Machine who is the favourite to be the last participant for MITB.

Also, apart from this particular match, a women’s division matchup was also made official on Smackdown Live.
In addition, the next MITB qualifier would be contested between Lana and Billie Kay. Lana, herself gave the news. This match, too, is a heel vs heel lineup like the other qualifier.

Since the IIconics are in the middle of a push on the roster, Billie should come up on top after this match.
Moreover, Lana is not a regular wrestler on the roster. She competes on an occasional basis only when the officials feel. So, despite, ‘we want Lana’ chants from the fans, she is not supposed to make it to MITB on Rusev Day.
