WWE News: Big Name To Miss Next Edition Of Monday Night Raw 1

The next edition of WWE Raw will take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado as we will move one step closer to the upcoming PPV, WWE TLC. The behemoth names like John Cena and Brock Lesnar are already missing this month’s schedule in the WWE due to their contractual obligations. Also, there will be one regular name who will miss the upcoming edition of the flagship show.

As per the updates from WWE.com, Michael Cole will not be present at the commentary table. He has been the voice of the WWE who calls down things every week. But, we will not be able to hear his voice on this upcoming edition. He has an excellent reason to miss the show, however.

Michael Cole is supposed to be busy for his son’s wedding for the entire week. On Monday, he will be attending the wedding ceremony. So, there’s no way that he is going to make it to the show. This will be only the second time in two decades that Cole will be missing the show.

In his absence, the Smackdown commentator, Tom Phillips will join the commentary table. The other two regular faces, Corey Graves and Booker T, will be present, as usual. Check out what WWE.com has to offer regarding this matter,

“ Michael Cole will miss this Monday’s Raw in Denver to attend his son’s wedding, WWE.com can confirm. Instead, the night’s action — including Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman and an Intercontinental Championship Match pitting Roman Reigns against The Miz — will be called by SmackDown LIVE’s Tom Phillips.

This marks only the second time in 20 years that Cole — considered “The Voice of WWE” — has missed a week of WWE television broadcasts. Don’t miss Phillips and the rest of the Team Red broadcast team this Monday on Raw, kicking off at 8/7 C on USA Network!”

There has been a lot of changes in the commentary desk over the years. But, Cole remained the only one to stay the constant name which is there on the scene. Starting as a backstage journalist, he was able to establish himself as the one who can be trusted by the WWE bosses. There’s no wonder why he is the favorite one for the chairman of the board, Vince McMahon.
