WWE News: Big Planning For The Tag Team Division On Smackdown

The only division that has been suffering a lagging ever since the brand-spilt took place is the Smackdown tag team division. At the very beginning, WWE creative managed to bring the best out of it with a brand new champion, Heath Slater & Rhyno. Later, the Wyatt family was inserted into it to give it a big momentum.

However, the momentum changed with American Alpha and The Usos becoming the headliners of the division and failing miserably. No proper planning was reserved for them.

As a result, the Smackdown tag team championship was the only one title that was not defended at this year’s Wrestlemania.

Fans gave negative reaction over this incident with WWE caring less for this part on the blue brand. However, the Superstar Shakeup happened for the betterment of the tag team division.

The arrival of the New Day on this brand was for the same purpose. Although they have not arrived at the show, they are scheduled to make a big impact upon their debut.

As per the reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The New Day is scheduled to start a major feud against the Usos over the tag team title upon their arrival. Both these teams are veterans in the tag division. So, the creative is arranging to make it a high-profile one.

There are also some great plans have in store for the Colons. After the disastrous Shining Stars gimmick, Primo and Epico needed a drastic makeover which they received after coming to Smackdown Live. This is a fresh start for them.

They are supposed to receive a major push on the show and will start a long-term feud with the American Alpha. The later one is one of the most incredible talents present in the locker room but was lacking proper opponents to prove their supremacy.

This time, they will get it with the arrival o Primo and Epico on the division.

Apparently, these two feuds should bring the attention back to the Smackdown tag team division.  The presence of the longest reigning tag champs will itself do the wonder.

However, there’s no confirmation as of when we can expect to see their arrival on the Tuesday Night show.
