WWE is heading to another showdown between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. It might not be the best option chosen by the WWE Universe. But Vince McMahon has his personal opinion shoved down the throats of the fans. He does think that this is the marquee match that will sell out the event. Plus, Big Show is rooting for The Big Dog as well.
One of the reasons for this main event match is understandable. Roman Reigns is the poster boy of the company. So putting him at the very last of the card will bring out a successful contest. Despite what the fans think, there’s no doubt that he is the most trusted shoulder on any condition.
But the fact that Brock Lesnar defeated him on numerous occasions bothers the fans much. They truly believe that somebody else should get the opportunity rather than Roman Reigns. But there might be nobody in that locker room who hates Brock Lesnar the most other than him.
Also, Roman Reigns does have an uncounted victory over Lesnar at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV. He was the one to land on the mat in a steel cage match. That is why he thinks himself to be the uncrowned Universal Champion. So Roman will stop at nothing when it comes to hunting down the beast.
WWE legend Big Show recently talked about this upcoming Universal Championship match. He mentioned the ‘never-say-die’ attitude of Roman Reigns. Probably, nobody in the history of the company suffered beatdowns like him. But he got back up every single time.
Furthermore, the Big Dog had already received several chances to beat Brock Lesnar in the past. But he has not been successful in cleanly doing that, for once. So, this should be the last time that Roman Reigns would get a shot at the prime title of the red brand. There’s no doubt in Big Show’s opinion that the franchise player would be successful, this time around at Summerslam. Check out his quotes from the interview with WWE.com,
“I think that everything that has happened, you have to give the devil his dues. You gotta give Roman the opportunity. He’s never quit; he’s got so much fight. I’ve seen Roman take so many beatdowns and unlike most people… Most people quit the business.
He’s got the heart, he’s got guts, and he knows what it is like to be a locker room leader now. So I think whatever happens at SummerSlam, if Roman Reigns doesn’t come home with the Championship, then that is it for Roman Reigns. I don’t think by any means that boy has quit in him, so I’m saying it’s not ‘if’ for Roman Reigns. I’m gonna say Roman is going to take it to Brock like never before.”
