The process of pushing Big Cass in the WWE superstars’ food chain was started by splitting him up from his partner, Enzo Amore. The mystery storyline of someone constantly attacking both Enzo and Big Cass started a couple of months ago on WWE Raw. It continued for weeks after weeks until the latter one was found to be the attacker.
The seven-footer was the one behind to attack his best friend from the back, whereas, he just pretended to be assaulted when it came to him. A footage shown by the Raw commentator, Corey Graves was shown to prove his guilt. Later, he himself admitted his sins to turn on Enzo Amore and beat the hell out of him.
Till date, the big man had a couple of matches with the “Skywalker, smack-talker” where he literally squeezed his opponent with great ease. This is an indication that going forward, he will be given a major push that will take him to the main event spotlight.
So, there’s no point of giving him matches with an uneven opponent. Rather, as per the recent reports, he is expected to get a big challenge at the biggest party of the summer. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has claimed that Big Show is the most probable opponent for Big Cass.
As we have seen in the last few weeks, this man has approved to be a dominant one. He was able to put down the world’s largest athlete for two consecutive weeks which is quite an accomplishment for the young superstar. Going forward, he will be handed an official match with the Giant at Summerslam.
Big Cass has always been seen as a man with great potential due to his physicality. With his bigger size speaking for himself, the Creative team has thought about splitting him from Enzo a long time ago. The plan came to fruition only after the Wrestlemania season was gone.
It is expected that Big Show will digest a loss at the hands of Cass on August 20th to put him over on the main roster. The veteran has nothing to lose at this point and is only used for such purposes in the WWE. His contract will be up in 2018 which might mark his retirement, as well.
