WWE Raw already confirmed the women’s title match at Extreme Rules PPV.
Alexa Bliss became the new champion at the bygone event, Money in the Bank. She cashed in the MITB briefcase on Nia Jax to become the new title-holder. Nia Jax invoked her rematch clause and got it at the next WWE Network-special event.
But the entire complexion of the match changed last night. We heard a couple of huge announcements on the show to alter the upcoming match.
None other than Ronda Rousey will be present at the ringside to keep things neutralised during the progress of this title match at Extreme Rules.
WWE Raw aired exclusive footage from WWE.com. Renee Young interviewed Ronda Rousey earlier the night. Currently, the biggest name of the women’s roster can’t appear on the flagship show due to her suspension. She not only beat down Alexa Bliss for her misdeeds but also put her hands on the officials.
But that prohibition can only keep her aside from appearances on WWE Raw. But she can show up at the Extreme Rules PPV. She confirmed the same during this interview with Renee Young.
Moments later, we had another big update on the championship match. Nia Jax declared the rematch for the championship would not be an ordinary match. The rivalry between these two is going on for a long time. It needs to end at any cost in the upcoming PPV event. So this is going to be an Extreme Rules match over the title on July 15th.
WWE.com also confirmed the stipulation of the match,
“At WWE Extreme Rules, Nia Jax will get her Raw Women’s Championship rematch against the very Superstar who stole the coveted title away from her at WWE Money in the Bank, her one-time “best friend” Alexa Bliss. Even better, it will be in an Extreme Rules Match.”
The No-DQ environment can turn out to be volatile now that Ronda Rousey will be present at the ringside. She will try to interfere in the match so that Bliss loses the title. The Goddess will certainly need the help of Mickie James at the upcoming match. Meanwhile, we should note that this is going to be first Extreme Rules match from the women’s division.
