It looks like Brock Lesnar will have his hands full with more fights even after he is done with Goldberg at the Survivor Series PPV. This time he got a challenge from the TNA champion, Bobby Lashley. The fight was issued for a Mixed Martial Arts event. (MMA)
Both, Lashley and Lesnar are bonafide athletes in the pro-wrestling industry. Lashley was a former WWE performer in the last decade and left WWE to join the TNA wrestling promotion. He is the current champion, there. Apart from his TNA stint, he does perform in MMA fights. In a recent fight, he has beaten Josh Appelt at the Bellator 162 event. His record is now 16 wins and 2 losses in his MMA career.
On the other hand, Brock Lesnar was an MMA fighter under UFC promotion after he was released by WWE in the last decade. His record is standing with 6 wins and three losses in MMA fights. In the month of July, he took part in a one-off fight at the UFC 200 event against Mark Hunt. He picked up the win in a dominant fashion.
The pro-wrestling circuit has always wanted to see these two athletes squaring off against each other in a tough fight. Recently, Lashley spoke to TMZ where he addressed the people’s demand of seeing him & Lesnar inside a ring. He also commented if that does happen what it would look like.
“I think it would be really interesting, there have been a lot of people that have asked me that. I get asked that almost every day. I think there is so much money in that.”
“I think it would turn into a slugfest because I know Brock isn’t going to be taken down by an easy takedown. I scramble pretty hard and Brock has a little bit more size on me, but I scramble pretty well so it would be hard for him to get a takedown. So if neither of us can get the takedown then we need to rely on the striking, so I think it would be a slugfest which would be really interesting.”
