Back during the week of WWE Raw 25th anniversary, WWE brought back a former employee of them, Jonathon Coachman to join him to the commentary table on the flagship show.
He has been part of the Ruthless Aggression Era doing commentary but later joined ESPN parting away with the company. His experience and knowledge from the mainstream world are supposed to enrich the show.
But, while doing this, Booker T had to sacrifice his spot from the WWE Raw. He was a regular face on the commentary desk on a weekly basis since 2016. But, Coachman’s inclusion forced him to leave the show. He decided not to go quietly and put the blame on one of his colleagues.
As per the earlier reports, Booker T accused Corey Graves being the sole reason for his departure. We previously saw these two getting into heated conversations on the commentary table. Later, Corey was not feeling comfortable in Booker’s presence which is why he might have forced the officials to let the WWE Hall of Famer out of the scene.
In the show named Heated Conversations Podcast, Booker T opened up about the incident directly accusing Corey. He also threatened his former colleague to involve in a physical fight, ever given a chance. The situation became so much intense between these two that the five-time WCW Champion invited the former NXT Superstar to his podcast to clear the air.
To everybody’s shock, they revealed it was nothing but a ‘work’. It means the incident had no truth behind this and they were just having fun with the pro-wrestling fans. Once the speculations started to pick up, they decide to add more fuel to it making the news an internet sensation. “When all of this blew up, and I heard it, I was getting phone calls and text messages. ‘You gotta hear this; Booker said this.’ And as soon as I heard it, knowing you like I know you, I was like, oh that’s just Book working. So I figured, you know, just being in the old school mentality, I’m like oh let’s have fun with this. Did it take off!”
Thinking that this feud is a legit one, even Michael Cole and The New Day got involved into it in the recent past. But, the entire thing has been cleared by the two persons involved in it, and there should not be any bad blood about this. Going forward, Booker T will be seen appearing on the PPV kick-off shows.
