It was earlier stated in several reports that Braun Strowman might have suffered a legit injury. It was originally picked up in between his match against Roman Reigns at WWE Payback. The medical personnel was waiting to get confirmed about the diagnosis results before confirming the surgery process.
This was the reason a scripted attack happened on last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in London, England. Roman Reigns returned to deliver an emphatic statement to the mountain among men. As noted by the Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle, he was able to seek ultimate revenge on the man who wanted to finish his career.
The chair shots to the elbow of Braun Strowman caused severe damages, as per the storyline causing him to undergo surgery. WWE has given some latest updates on his condition which states that he might be out of action for much longer than initially expected.
We heard the Raw GM saying that the nemesis to Roman Reigns could be out of action for about six months. A detailed report was given on the official website of the WWE which stated the following:
“Immediately after the assault on Strowman’s injured shoulder and elbow by the former WWE Champion, The Monster Among Men left Raw in an ambulance and was able to get back to the United States for an evaluation this past Wednesday.
Following the medical consultation, Strowman underwent surgery on Thursday in Birmingham, Ala. with Dr. Jeffrey Dugas. During the procedure, it was revealed, among his other injuries, that Strowman’s elbow had been shattered, and he is expected to miss up to six months of action as a result”
The surgery was done in Birmingham, Alabama. The doctors discovered that the elbow was completely shattered. It is quite understandable why Strowman was sent back to the US in the middle of WWE’s UK tour.
He is not the only one who returned from the UK tour, earlier. Emma who suffered a back injury followed the same procedure. However, her injury is less severe and physical therapies will be enough to heal up.
Strowman was supposed to face Roman Reigns at the Extreme Rules PPV and then go on to face Brock Lesnar at the very next PPV, Great Balls of Fire in the month of July. But, all the plans were wiped out with the sudden injury.
