The Universal Championship match at Clash Of Champions ended predictably with a big twist in-store. None other than The Fiend Bray Wyatt made his presence felt by the end of the match signaling that he is coming for the prime title on Monday Night RAW. The main event appeared to be a solid one where the audience favored Braun Strowman rather than Seth Rollins. They booed as the monster digested two back-to-back Stomps.

But Braun Strowman kept the matchup going by kicking out of the finishers. Soon, he tried to counter by hitting the Running Powerslam but his knees gave up. This allowed Seth Rollins to hit a Pedigree on Strowman followed by the third Stomp of the night to get the win. Rollins was celebrating his championship win when the Fiend Bray Wyatt appeared out of nowhere. He planted Rollins with a Sister Abigail and choked him out with the Mandible Claw. The terrifying show-up sent Clash of Champions off-air hinting the next title match rivalry.

How Did The Fiend Bray Wyatt Affect WWE Scene In 2019 Summer?

The main event of this year’s Clash of Champions had an interesting setup from the get-go. Seth Rollins accepted a challenge thrown by Braun Strowman to confirm the matchup. The challenger did not have to earn his opportunity which was a controversial move, for sure. Going forward, these two teamed to compete in a tag team championship match and eventually came out as a winner.

They defeated The Club members Gallows and Anderson to become the new WWE RAW tag team champions. This created the weirdest scenario where these two had to defend these belts, as well, heading into Clash of Champions. “At WWE Clash of Champions, Universal Champion Seth Rollins will defend his title against none other than his fellow Raw Tag Team Champion, Braun Strowman. Although Strowman has made no secrets about his desire to win the Universal Title, champion and challenger stepped up to help each other fend off a series of three-on-one scrapes against The O.C. in recent weeks before joining forces to capture the Raw Tag Team Titles from Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Evidentially, this development has not stopped their inevitable collision.”

Still, Seth Rollins came out as the winner with a clean pinfall win. But it was the horrifying presence of The Fiend Bray Wyatt that stole the show. He is coming after the title at Hell in a Cell as we wait for an official confirmation.
