It’s a known fact to the WWE fans that Daniel Bryan was forced to take retirement rather than announcing it himself. He was dealing with a neck concussion for quite sometimes. To fix the problems, he had undergone surgeries on some occasions. Despite the doctors clearing him to compete inside the WWE ring, the WWE medical personnel never allowed him to do so.
As a result, he was instructed to announce his retirement from WWE’s in-ring competition. It was a disgraceful thing considering that he was perhaps the most famous superstar in this PG era. The YES movement came to an abrupt halt which will always get remembered as one of the most heartbreaking incidents of all time.
However, the contract between WWE and Bryan is intact till April 2018 which means unless the company permits him, he will not be able to perform outside it. It is why he has picked a job of Smackdown General Manager which was not his original choice.
But, it was revealed by him on numerous occasions that he will swipe to any other wrestling promotion to fulfil his wrestling dream once the contract expires. Till date, his wife, Brie Bella played a big role to keep him sticking to the WWE since The Bella Twins are considered as the franchise superstars of the company.
They are the only one to have their own show from WWE on the E Network. Plus, they are also the first superstars to have their own Youtube channel gifted by the company. So, it is quite expected that she does not want her husband to part ways from the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world.
However, considering that this is the ultimate passion possessed by Daniel Bryan, the younger Bella finally agreed on it. She recently spoke to the From The Top Rope podcast and quoted the following which states if Bryan wants then he can go to a different brand other than WWE, next year (quotes courtesy Pro Wrestling Sheet)
“I told Bryan, ‘You do have a daughter, so always remember that. But if the doctors finally give you the green light,’ I go, ‘Go! This is your dream and passion. You have one life to live, and I will never hold you back.’
Because I love to wrestle, and I would hate if someone told me you can’t-do it. And if WWE doesn’t allow it, then I said, ‘Go somewhere else. It’s all on you.’ Obviously, he would love to be able to get back in that WWE ring, but I know for a fact my husband is going to find his way back to the ring. He honestly is.”
