It was earlier reported the ‘Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar was tested positive not once but twice after his bout against Mark Hunt at UFC 200 earlier this year. The fight took place in July which marked his return to the Octagon. He looked as vicious as he was during his MMA days after he knocked out his opponent clean.
But once the bout was over it was declared that his drug tests came out to be positive. A substance named hydroxyl-clomiphene was found in his sample and hence he got temporarily suspended by the Nevada State Athletic commission. However, the final results were in the hands of the USADA (United States of America Anti-doping Agency).
Now Brett Okamoto of ESPN has declared the final verdict which says Brock Lesnar has been suspended for one year. Prior to this, he was charged with $250,000 for failing drug tests post-UFC 200. More news came from MMAFighting.com that said it was a known fact that Brock tested positive for hydroxyl-clomiphene, a banned substance. Since Nevada Athletic Commission temporarily banned him, his suspension was just a matter of time.

Moreover, his win over Mark Hunt has been withdrawn. The match has been declared a no contest. So, his UFC record now stands 6-2.
It was a matter of discussion as to why did the WWE allow Brock Lesnar to feature in a Summerslam match against Randy Orton, considering he was already suspended temporarily. It was also speculated that due to suspension, the WWE would hand him a loss to Orton. But that was not the case as he man-handled the Viper.
The suspension is charged for MMA fights only hence it should not affect his WWE career. However, we’ll have to wait and see if the WWE comes up with any announcement.
