Brock Lesnar still might be celebrating his victory at Wrestlemania against Goldberg. Meanwhile, WWE is planning something huge for him once he returns to television.
He won the Universal Championship on that night following which he has gone on to a hiatus. WWE has not officially declared his return date, till date.
However, with event listing, it is clear that he will make his comeback in the June 12th edition of Monday Night Raw in order to make the build up for his first championship defence. On this upcoming Sunday, we will crown the number one contender for his title at Extreme Rules PPV. It is expected that the title match will take place in the main event of the Great Balls of Fire PPV in July.
But, prior to that, Brock Lesnar had to pass through yet another challenge. He is set to defend his championship on Raw as per the recent advertisements of the WWE.
WWE will return to the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on June 26th. The beast is scheduled to appear on the episode. Plus, the local advertisement to sell out the tickets is showing that the Universal Championship will be on the line, as the champion will defend it against the Eater of the World, Bray Wyatt.
It was previously reported that Brock Lesnar will work more dates during his championship reign in the company. This is the last season for him in the contract and WWE will like to use him in the most valiant way. This advertisement is a certain indication of the upcoming busy schedule for him.
Also, this match might not take place in the main show of Raw considering Lesnar will have to defend the title at the inaugural Raw-exclusive PPV in July. So, this one might be stored as a dark match for the Los Angeles crowd in attendance, on that night.
Plus, considering that Bray Wyatt is getting a push ever since coming to Monday Night Raw, he might be the one to win the fatal-5-way match at Extreme Rules, if this booking is any indication. The feud is a dream one for the fans and must happen before Lesnar leaves, next year.
