WWE News: Brock Lesnar’s Return Date Confirmed On WWE Raw 1

Brock Lesnar became the Universal Champion at Crown Jewel PPV defeating Braun Strowman. The match took place for the title vacated by Roman Reigns in October. As much as the WWE Universe liked to see The Big Dog continuing the title reign, he could not do it since he is suffering from Leukemia. The absence forced WWE to give the title back to Brock Lesnar.

It was not good news for the WWE fans. They do know that the Universal Championship will no more be present on WWE Raw on a regular basis. Brock Lesnar barely shows up on weekly programming due to his contract obligations. It allows him to appear only for selected dates around a calendar year. He also fights in just a handful of matches, only in PPV events.

The last time he competed on WWE Raw was in 2002 i.e. 17 years ago! This fact is well enough to point out how much the fans must be disappointed with the ongoing championship reign. A champion like Brock Lesnar can’t be a true locker room leader. The fan backlash continues towards him but he will continue with his irregular schedule. Recent reports suggest that he is not coming back in nearly one month from now.

Currently, one of the host arenas is advertising Brock Lesnar for an episode of WWE Raw. The flagship show will emanate from the Chesapeake Arena in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 21st, 2019. The official website of the venue is currently advertising the beast incarnate on the card. This suggests that the champion will return on TV on this particular date, next year.

This is the go-home show for Royal Rumble PPV where he will hype up the scheduled title match against Braun Stromman. It is likely that he might not bother to appear on the show prior to this. The arena has also advertised Seth Rollins Vs. Dean Ambrose, and Baron Corbin Vs. Braun Strowman on that night. Plus, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Bobby Lashley will also be on the match card. Tickets for this potential packed show is up for grabs at the host venue’s official website link.
