Roman Reigns is away from the WWE scene for a long time now. Almost four months have passed by since he had to leave his home i.e. WWE to start treatment against Leukemia. It is back from remission to put his life in jeopardy which is a way bigger issue than wrestling. So the Samoan had to go back home to address the issue.
Roman Reigns will appear at Wrestlemania 35
There’s no timetable of when he could be back into the WWE again to carry the flagship show on his shoulder. But the good thing is his family is protecting him in this tough time that is much necessary. He is keeping himself fit by sweating out in the gym sessions that might be a hint of a quick comeback.
This leads us to wild speculation whether Roman Reigns can be back at Royal Rumble 2019. Primarily it’s an unthinkable idea that may not become true, at all. But reliable sources left the spot open stating that there’s a slight chance of a comeback for The Big Dog at Royal Rumble 2019.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer posted an update on the former Universal Champion who had to relinquish his title. It stated that there’s no chance for him to compete at Royal Rumble. But he definitely can show up for an appearance on this Sunday Night. This could be a one-off appearance in a different capacity.
The veteran wrestling journalist can say so since Roman Reigns is in a pretty good physical condition. He is probably in Hawaii enjoying a vacation with his family. But that does not keep him away from the workout sessions. Recent pictures of him on the internet also showed him in incredible physique that leaves a chance for him at Royal Rumble.
Here’s what Meltzer stated,
“It’s not like he’s confined to a hospital bed or anything like that. The last I heard he was training in Hawaii so he’s not at home or maybe he is now, but he wasn’t last week.”
His presence can be a good thing from WWE’s view since they want to deliver a jam-packed night at Royal Rumble. 40000 fans will be there at the Chase Field Arena who will be indeed happy to see WWE’s franchise figure back in the house.
However, we can’t expect Roman Reigns to be back in full-time basis, all of a sudden. Comments from Braun Strowman suggest that he is making one step at a time in this recovery from Leukemia disease. He is not going to make any quick decision until he feels like so. But it’s indeed a piece of good news that our beloved superstar is doing great.
