WWE News: Carmella Took Shot to a Journalist on Twitter
Oct 14, 2017 at 2:19 PM
This year’s Money in the Bank was a historic one considering it featured the first-ever ladder match for the women and the opportunistic briefcase. Five female superstars from the Smackdown Live brand competed hard to become the first-ever winner of the contract that can change their lives.
In the end, it was Carmella who won it by virtue of James Ellsworth grabbing it, first and hand her. This decision remained quite a controversial one, since the competitor herself never climbed the ladder and grabbed the briefcase. To stay out of controversy, a second-ever ladder match was announced on the show.
This time, too, Carmella became the winner making her the winner of two straight Money in the Bank matches. Her career took an upward direction on Smackdown Live, going forward. She was never on the list of elite performers from NXT division, but nobody can deny the importance of the wild card that she possesses.
In a recent article published on thesportster.com, 15 women wrestler got mentioned who would be considered as ugly if they would not be WWE wrestlers. The Princess of Staten Island was one of them, and hence she went right after the writer on Twitter.
15 Female Wrestlers Who Would Be Considered Ugly If They Were Never Famoushttps://t.co/uJF5jpSgPx @CarmellaWWE is old. Wtf she is 29

The writer’s words were kind of sexist as you can see in the following words:
“Luckily she’s in a period in which looks don’t matter much, for she may not have found her way past the WWE tryouts back in the day. Her loyal fans find her gorgeous, but the odds are low that they’d have a different opinion if it weren’t for her fame.”
Carmella has always been pretty much vocal about her being an underrated superstar and, here, was no exception, as well. So, this was her appropriate reply to the columnist,
What is wrong with people. ? Easy to call people unattractive from your moms basement. And if 29 is old then I don’t want to be young ?? https://t.co/WMgX0IgIit

The Twitter-verse was quick to respond in support of Carmella, following the incident. The WWE Universe including Pro-Wrestling Sheet-journalist, Ryan Satin responded to it,
Shocking that the person who wrote this article doesn’t have a picture of themselves on the author page. Wonder why ?
