There are recent rumours about Daniel Bryan going into UFC fights in the future. It has the least chance technically, as he is a WWE superstar for now.
His contract with the company standstill up to the September of this year. There’s no chance to see him anywhere else until then.
But the speculations about the same topic rose to a new level during a recent social media banter. Daniel Bryan took a shot in an Instagram story to Mike Jackson recently. This UFC fighter suffered a lot of negative backlash after defeating CM Punk. The main reason for the same is that he took three rounds to beat a less talented fighter like Punk.
Daniel Bryan fuelled the controversy up by saying he could defeat Jackson on any given day. The UFC fighter did not take it lightly and replied it back to Bryan on Twitter. It created speculations about whether a UFC showdown is possible between the two of them.
JJ Garcia, Bryan’s brother-in-law recently talked about the same topic on Total Bellas Aftershow recently. He is a familiar face to us via the Total Divas or Total Bellas episodes. The brother of the Bella Twins rejected any of the chances of seeing Daniel Bryan in the UFC fights any day.
His below comments confirm the veteran wrestler is happy to be in his current position. He does not look to be a UFC fighter by any means. Bryan does not have a solid body nor is a behemoth name that the UFC stars possess. So we would continue to see him inside the squared circle,
“Daniel wouldn’t fight in UFC; it’s not in his blood. He is a technical guy. Bryan is not the ground and pound, want to beat someone up guy…that mentality that you probably need to have for UFC.”
“He is a technical guy and probably one of the best wrestlers of all time technically, and that’s what he really enjoys.”
We need to note that Daniel Bryan trained a lot in MMA technics during his hiatus from the wrestling ring. He had undergone training sessions in BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), a grappling-based martial art to keep himself fit all the time.
UFC Lightweight Champion “Smooth” Benson Henderson was his partner who had high praises for the former world champion as well.
