Why Charlotte Flair Received Title Match At Money In The Bank?
These two women have been the lifeline for the Smackdown women’s division for over a year sharing a bitter rivalry. They have been the very best of friends cum rivals when it comes to playing on-screen persona. They still share the same bad blood over the championship hanging in balance. But the real-life equation is pretty much different between the two of them as declared in the latest interview.

Charlotte Flair recently spoke with Newsday to touch down a myriad of topics including who’s her best friend in real life is. She surprised everyone by breaking kayfabe rules and took the name of current RAW & Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. As mentioned earlier, their on-screen rivalry will hit new heights when they meet for the title match at Money in the Bank.
But Charlotte Flair did not stop revealing the truth,
“My best friend is Becky Lynch. It was very challenging fighting for the same thing because we always travel together, eat together, work out together, share everything. So when we started competing against each other, I lost that one person that I relied on. But it made me stronger in the process.”
The interview proceeded as Charlotte Flair received the question of what her toughest match has been, to date. The Queen did not name any particular match of her illustrious career. However, she re-uttered the name of Becky Lynch who’s the most competitive superstar as per the eight-time women’s champion,
“The hardest was probably fighting my best friend, Becky Lynch because we both are very competitive. We both wanted the same thing. It was hard not wanting to hurt her in the ring and beat her. But I didn’t beat her. And then the easiest — I don’t think I had an easy match. I think the easiest part of it is walking out the curtain.”
The interview also brought up the context of her father, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair via an interesting question. It asked who’d have won if Charlotte Flair would square off against Ric in a match. That was an easy pick for the blonde lady who chose herself because she thinks the Figure Eight submission move is twice as good as his Figure Four submission.
