Becky Lynch is on a roll from Summerslam onwards. She turned heel on that very night to change the course of the women’s division of the Smackdown Live. Charlotte Flair has been the champion who got the least support from the fans despite being a babyface figure. Rather the fans always kept cheering for Becky Lynch. A huge push was waiting for the newly turned heel, thereafter.
At Hell in a Cell PPV event, Becky Lynch pinned Charlotte Flair, fair and square to become a two-time Smackdown women’s champion. Since then, her persona has changed to a big extent. She pretended to be running the entire women’s division. Also, Charlotte Flair suffered a number of attacks (both physically and verbally) on the show. Last week, the former champion could not attend Smackdown due to an attack from her nemesis from behind.
Becky Lynch became more confident than ever and entered last night’s Smackdown to give us a pleasant surprise. She was already unhappy about how WWE management has ignored her for the Super Show Down poster. So a verbal promo allowed her to let those frustrations come out of her. She decided to snatch everything that’s needed for her from Hell in a Cell onwards.
The Irish Lass-kicker complained about not getting the magazine cover shoots or the poster covers. She is the one who is holding the title but Charlotte Flair is the one to get the media attention which is not right. So she decided to steal the spotlight on her own. We saw a repeat airing of the footage from last week’s attack. Thereafter, she revealed a customized poster for Super Show Down.
It showed Becky Lynch standing over Charlotte Flair holding the Smackdown women’s championship above her head. She confirmed that she went through a lot of troubles to design this new poster for Super Show Down. Charlotte Flair has heard enough crap about herself and decided to make her return on Smackdown Live.
She ran down to start a brawl with Becky Lynch. A huge spear put the champion down to the mat. However, she backfired quickly unloading some right-hand punches. But the Queen proved to be much resistant in this condition. She was able to lock in the Figure Eight leg-lock with the help of the ringside apron. Charlotte took Becky Lynch inside the ring and delivered a kick to the face to finally put her down. She needed this sweet redemption badly before going into the Super Show Down before this Saturday’s PPV event.
