WWE News: Clash of Champions PPV Will Return in December
Aug 26, 2017 at 1:11 PM
A recent episode of Raw was conducted by the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts after which the fans received a pleasant news about the PPV that might end this year’s calendar. Till date, we were aware of three PPV events following Summerslam.
As per the earlier announcements, there will be No Mercy, Hell in a Cell and Survivor Series PPVs in the fall. With this confirmation from the venue, we now have the fourth event that will be emanating at the very last month of the year.
According to the official twitter handle of the TD Garden arena, Clash of Champions will be hosted by them on December 12th. This announcement was made exclusively by them, and WWE is yet to confirm it. But, since these ads are given for ticket selling, the event’s return is confirmed.
No hint was given as of which brand will host to this event. It’s being assumed that Smackdown is going to be the concerned brand since they will have a vacant spot for hosting one last special event.
Plus, this year, WWE has been arranging the brand exclusive PPVs in an exchange format which means that the Raw-exclusive events were handed to Smackdown and vice versa. Considering that Raw hosted the Clash of Champions, last year, Smackdown becomes the automatic host to this event.

WWE hosted the Clash of Champions PPV, last year for the very first time. Previously, the Night of Champions PPV was seen in the calendar with the concept of keeping every title on the line on that night. Some modifications were made by borrowing the name of an old WCW PPV.
Considering the date, this should be the last PPV of the year. Generally, WWE keeps a gap of minimum two weeks in between two PPV events. But, the holiday season will start after two weeks of Clash of Champions. So, there will not be any available date for the company.
