WWE News: Comeback Match for Daniel Bryan Confirmed at Wrestlemania 34 1

The WWE Universe waited for a long time to witness Daniel Bryan competing inside the squared circle.

This was literally impossible due to WWE doctors not permitting him to wrestle, ever. The entire situation took a new turn, one week ago when he was finally medically cleared by Dr Joseph Maroon, the head doctor of the WWE medical board alongside other renowned concussion specialists.

Once that happened, the Smackdown general manager was quickly inserted into a storyline angle to set up a Wrestlemania match. Last week, he was assaulted by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn that was hard to watch. It came as a fallout after these two were fired by him due to the attack delivered on Shane McMahon, one week earlier.

It was expected that the setup is perfect for a tag team match at Wrestlemania. Meanwhile, another twist was brought into the mix when WWE.com gave updates that Shane McMahon is still dealing with the concussions following the attack on March 14th episode of Smackdown Live.

It turned out to be completely kayfabe after the official announcement of the match came from WWE’s official website.

On Smackdown Live, Daniel Bryan issued a challenge to Owens and Zayn in a Wrestlemania match. Quite evidently, Shane-O-Mac was named as his partner. Furthermore, the two heels were reinstated on their position, going forward.

The challenge laid down by the authority figure was accepted on the social media by Sami Zayn assuring this match is happening. Later, the announcement came from WWE.com,

“At WrestleMania, Daniel Bryan will return to in-ring action for the first time since retiring from competition in 2016 when he joins forces with Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. If Owens & Zayn defeats Bryan & McMahon, they will once again be SmackDown LIVE Superstars. If they don’t, however, they will remain fired. What will happen when Bryan returns to action at The Showcase of The Immortals?”

As you can see, the stipulation is that Owens and Zayn have to defeat Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania to keep their status intact on the blue brand.

Stakes are really high in this match that will make the match card for the biggest event, even more, stacked. The leader of the YES movement will come back to the arena where he made history by winning the WWE Championship to have another Wrestlemania moment.
