When it comes to signing Conor McGregor, there’s no denying that WWE is more than ready to take him under their wings. Several reports previously stated that the dominant UFC superstar is negotiating a contract with the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world.
It is expected to culminate one-off match at the biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania 34.
Apparently, that turned out to be true as a recent report from the UK Sun has confirmed that the deal is heading positively. So, it’s just a matter of time that it will get finalised. So, we can expect the former UFC dual champion to feature in one of the main events in New Orleans, next year.
However, the updated suggestion from No-DQ.com stated that the report from UK Sun was false. No deal is said to be offered to Conor McGregor and nor he is excited to compete in a WWE bout in the future, according to them.
The conflict reports are expected because WWE never gave any confirmed updates when it comes to the UFC superstars. They always remain positive about signing them under their banner for one-off stints. But, till date, no marquee match happened involving any one of them except for Shayna Baszler who competed in the Mae Young Classic and also signed a full-time deal, later.
Conor McGregor has been part of the money match against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas, early this year. Despite being the underdog, he fought valiantly against the champion who took his record forward to 50-0. On the 10th round of the fight, Floyd defeated his opponent via TKO.
Apart from McGregor, his former colleague at UFC, Ronda Rousey is being speculated to be a part of the upcoming Wrestlemania 34 show. As per the speculations, she has already started training to accommodate herself with the pro-wrestling moves.
If these reports are true, then we can expect her to get inside the ring for a marquee match at the showcase of immortals against either Charlotte Flair or Stephanie McMahon. It will turn out to be yet another money match for the WWE considering Ronda bringing the mainstream attention to the show.
